The 71st International Committee Meeting of Service Civil International (SCI) in Wépion (Belgium) did welcome Heinz Gabathuler today as new coordinator of SCI Archives.

In a few weeks, on December 15th, a plaque will be installed in Burjassot in order to commemorate the SCI volunteers, which were active for the Ayuda Suiza a los niños de España during the Spanish Civil Ware (1937-1939). A book about Ayuda Suiza will also be launched the same day.

Fridolin Trüb, 92 years old, is a long standing peace activist and SCI member in Switzerland. Since May 2011 there's a website dedicated to him with a lots of background material.

Simone Chaumet, a long term SCI volunteer in Algeria in 1950s, will be honoured on 24.October 2011 as Righteous among the Nations.

Two long standing SCI volunteers left recently us forever Emma Ott (1907-2011) and Elisabeth Eidenbenz (1913-2011).
