Winner of SCI Anniversary Photo Competition
by Philipp Rodriguez (Nov 3, 2009)
The SCI Archives launched this summer a photo competition for next year's (2010) 90th anniversary of the SCI. SCI volunteers were invited to make photos in workcamps, which are inspired by photos from historic SCI workcamps.
Several photos were submitted to the competition. The photo committe chose the contribution of Carmen Fiore as winner of this competition.
The idea of the photo competition was to imitate or reproduce the workcamp situation shown in one of the vintage photos:

Vintage photos from SCI Archives: Brynmawr 1932, Champa 1951, St.Stephan 1948
The photo of Carmen is very similar to workcamp situation "food preparation" in India 1951. A good example that workcamp life does not differ from the past. She wins one Workcamp Voucher. The other photos can be found on a picasa photo album. The contributors win a Swiss Organic Fair Trade Chocolate bar.
