In the aftermath of earthquakes in the region of Bihar SCI initiated a relief project.

From 1934 to 1937 Pierre Ceresole and other volunteers went to Bihar in India in oder to work as "diplomats, architects, bricklayers and labourers", helping hundreds of farmers.
